The Dinosaur Game first appeared in 2014 as part of a Chrome update. The goal was simple: create a fun distraction for users who lost their internet connection. When someone attempted to load a webpage without Wi-Fi, a small pixelated T-Rex appeared on the “No Internet” screen. Pressing the spacebar instantly launched the dinosaur into a running adventure through an endless desert filled with obstacles. The game’s creators at Google wanted to add humor to an otherwise frustrating moment, and the result exceeded every expectation.
